IT House is looking for a Senior Java Developer for a direct placement with an end client in the Transport & Logistics sector, located in Porto.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements definition through delivery and demos;
- Collaborate with Software Architects and business specialists to design optimal technical and functional solutions;
- Drive product team growth and success by identifying and implementing process improvements;
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering technical excellence;
- Develop high-quality Java-based digital products, ensuring clean, well-tested and maintainable code;
- Take full responsibility for software quality and long-term sustainability;
- Collaboratively define and design a robust, modular and integrated software landscape.
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience;
- Proven track record of leading small to medium-sized software development teams in high-performance, agile environments;
- Strong passion for IT, with the ability to find pragmatic and innovative solutions that maximize business value;
- Commitment to personal growth and fostering a collaborative, no-blame culture that encourages experimentation;
- Extensive object-oriented programming skills, with several years of successful experience in Java, Spring, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Git and SQL;
- Expertise in Kafka, API Gateways, Microservices architecture and DevOps practices is highly desirable;
- Good knowledge of English.
